Byondbites helps you make everyday food and health decisions with recipes, nutrition guidance, Health Mode and Ayra. This page explains who writes our content, where our information comes from, how we review and correct it, and how to contact us.
Who writes our content
Our articles are written by Sehrish Khandia, founder of Byondbites. She is a Certified Nutritionist and Sleep, Stress & Recovery Coach (Precision Nutrition), and has studied Food Is Medicine through Harvard Health Online Learning. She has 7 years of experience in health and nutrition, coaching individual clients.
Her credentials are nutrition and coaching certifications, so our content focuses on general nutrition and wellbeing education. For diagnosis, treatment or a clinical diet plan, a doctor or registered dietitian is the right person to see.
Every article shows its author and the date it was published.
How we research
We base our content on reputable sources: peer-reviewed studies and systematic reviews, national and international health authorities, and published dietary and clinical guidelines. We cite the sources behind our key points and link to them in each article, so you can read them yourself.
When the evidence is limited or mixed, we say so. We separate a link (association) from proof of cause, and we don't overstate what a study shows. Because we write for Saudi and GCC kitchens, we adapt advice to the dishes people here actually cook.
Review and corrections
Sehrish reviews each article for factual accuracy, evidence quality, clarity, and suitability for general nutrition and wellbeing education before publication.
We revisit articles when the evidence or guidelines change, or when a reader points out a mistake. Material corrections are labelled “Corrected on [date]” with a short note describing the correction.
Our content is not currently reviewed by an independent medical reviewer. We will update this page if independent clinical review is introduced.
AI and Ayra
Ayra is the AI food and nutrition coach inside the Byondbites app. She suggests recipes, answers general food and nutrition questions, recommends ingredient swaps and helps you make a dish lighter. Her answers are shaped by the preferences, allergies and goals in your profile. Ingredient scanning and food photos are also processed automatically.
AI can be wrong, incomplete or not right for your situation. Ayra's answers are general guidance, not medical advice, so please check anything important for yourself.
Medical and allergy disclaimer
Byondbites gives general nutrition and wellbeing guidance. It doesn't diagnose or treat any condition and isn't a replacement for a doctor, dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional. It does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or emergency care. If you have a medical condition, take medication, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor first.
You can add your allergies to your profile, and Byondbites uses them to shape suggestions. It can't guarantee that a recipe or product is free of an allergen. Always check ingredients and labels yourself, and follow your doctor's advice if you have a serious allergy.
